Volkswagen asked us to develop a campaign for the launch of Audi’s SUV Audi Q5. We created a TV ad that was executed by a series of flipbooks to demonstrate the concept of perfectly synchronized engineering. Flipbooks, by their very nature, only work when a series of images are perfectly timed and cued to create the illusion of continuous motion. The ad itself also showcases the vehicle’s suitability for a range of environments, as it depicts a couple on a beautiful, scenic drive in their Audi Q5. The drive takes them through the country where they drive over a rocky outcrop and desolate forest and finally arrive back in the city. The experience is summed up with one simple question: “Isn’t it great when everything happens on cue?”
