Bonnie welcomes Kayla Sulla, Miss Connecticut International 2015 with a platform promoting women’s heart health. This is Kayla’s third appearance with Bonnie since 2005.

ABOUT OUR GUEST
Kayla Sulla is a 26 year old Great Neck native who currently resides in New Milford, CT where she is a nutritional therapist and Reiki practitioner running her own wellness company, Way of Life.

Kayla began competing in pageants as a teenager, as a natural progression from her modelling career and extensive volunteer work. She was Miss New York 2009 and went on to place 2nd runner up for the National American Miss title. In 2012, she represented New York in the International Junior Miss Scholarship Pageant and then won the International Miss title over competitors from around the world.

She spent her reign traveling and doing volunteer work. After crowning her successor, Kayla stayed on as an International Producer for the International Junior Miss System. After taking a hiatus from competing, Kayla recently won the Miss Connecticut International 2015 title and will compete on the international level in summer 2015 for the Miss International title.

At age 23, Kayla was diagnosed with Supraventricular Tachycardia (SVT), a condition that speeds-up her heart out of control. In December 2013, she underwent surgery to correct her arrhythmia; while it helped, it was not 100% successful. Since then, Kayla has been dedicated to living a heart healthy life and refuses to let her condition stop her. As Miss Connecticut, she is promoting her Healthy Living for Healthy Hearts platform, encouraging heart healthy lifestyles, as heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States.
